Due to massive overload of Telefónicas new system Infovía Plus, Infovía transfers can be found very slow, and including at times connections may fail completely.   Telefónica reveals no information as to when they will be able to resolve this problem.
Observe! This notice will not affect Mercury Direct users.

Date: 13-01-1999               Time: 03:30

We're sorry to inform that the severe breakdown previously indicated is still affecting most of the international routes, both voice and data

In reference to the Internet service only the european links have been recovered, therefore USA routes are still out of order.

National access has not been affected and are working correctly.

We cannot yet estimate repair time due to the severe damge and to the complexity of repair work on the many affected nodes and links.
